A proposal from Bookmar was provided to construct a shoring system for the access and the construction of a basement car park. The maximum excavation depth was 4.5 mertres over an extensive site at Mermaid Beach.
Following the installation of the sheet piling, the excavation to the required depth was carried out and the installations of two rows of our patented vibrationless restraining rods and anchors were installed.
Once all of the sheet pile sections and restraining rods were installed, the construction of the basement commenced. By adhering to workplace health and safety requirements the existing neighbouring structures maintained their structual integrity throughout the construction process.
